eFone uses a very small amount of data, as the internet connection is mainly required for registration to the network, which ranges between 0.5 megabytes (MB) per minute of call to 1.3 MB/minute but if there is any service issue (e.g. fluctuating service or low network speed) then call quality will be affected.
    Incoming calls may not be working for the following reasons, please follow these instructions:
  • Update your app to the latest version available in Google play store or Apple app store
  • Check internet connection is active
  • Verify all required permissions are enabled in device settings
    • Make sure the call forwarding option is disabled in eFone app. to check that
    • Go to app settings
    • Tap on incoming
    • Ring eFone devices should be marked, and call forwarding should be disabled
    • This will enable ring on the eFone app.
  • If the above steps did not work for you, kindly send us message from contact us
    You need to check the following:
  • Your service is active and there is no past due balance on your account
  • Make sure that SMS feature is enabled in your plan
  • Efone app is updated to the latest version
  • Your device is connected to internet (Mobile data or Wifi)

    Outgoing calls may not be working for the following reasons, please follow these instructions:
  • Update your app to the latest version available in Google play store or Apple app store
  • Check internet connection is active
  • Verify all required permissions are enabled in device settings
  • Make sure the number you are calling is correct, Country code (e.g.+44,+91) must be added before the international number.
  • In order to use voice network, you have to make sure that number registered to sim card is properly verified in eFone app settings

Your username is your email address or phone number active on your eFone account. In order to reset your password, you have to click forget password on the Signin Page. You will receive an email to your registered email address, where you can reset your password

eFone is a VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) App

    eFone app requires a stable internet connection to work properly. A Wifi or Mobile data connection is required. eFone app uses the following modes for calling:
  • Data mode: This mode will exclusively use your phone's mobile data or Wi-Fi. Therefore, the call quality will solely depend on the internet connection.
  • Voice mode: This mode will use the cellular network of the carrier you are currently using, e.g. if you are using an ATT or Bell sim card, then calls through voice mode will use the ATT or Bell cellular network to route your calls.

You can easily check the Efone app status by looking at the top right corner of the app, If it is green then you are connected to the internet.

    To check the detailed connection status for calls and SMS, please follow given instructions:
  • Open app Settings
  • Tap on App settings in the menu
  • Tap on Connection
  • Status of calls and SMS will be displayed. This should always be green.
    • If you see the status is showing a red dot then your device is not connected to the internet.

      To check eFone app permissions, go to
    • Open eFone app settings
    • Tap App Settings in the menu
    • Tap on App permissions

    Check tha all permissions are enabled for the eFone app. If you don't know how to allow all required permissions to the eFone app, uninstall and reinstall the app. When the app is installed, it will automatically prompt for permissions. Please allow all permissions.
